Five Barn Owls Back Where They Belong!

Today was a wonderful day as we released five healthy Barn Owls back into the wild!

These young owls came to us after tree trimmers accidentally cut the section of the tree that contained their nest. Suddenly separated from their home and parents, they needed specialized care to grow, develop their natural behaviors, and prepare for life in the wild.

After weeks of rehabilitation, they were ready to spread their wings and return to where they belong. Watching each one fly off into the evening is a reminder of why wildlife rehabilitation is so important.

As nesting season continues, please remember to check trees for active nests before trimming or removing branches. Many birds, including owls, hawks, woodpeckers, and songbirds, raise their young in trees during the spring and summer. Whenever possible, postpone major tree trimming until after nesting season has ended. A little patience can save an entire family of wild birds.

Thank you to everyone who supports wildlife rehabilitation and helps give animals like these Barn Owls a second chance.

Fly free, little ones!
